This year I will be attending a writers’ conference
in April, and I’ve also taken on a couple of big projects, so I won’t be
joining the hop. It just wouldn’t work out with me being gone for an entire
week through the month. I considered writing my posts in advance and scheduling
them automatically, but I know I wouldn’t be able to check my blog and respond
to comments and return visits to others. I suspect you all would forgive me,
but I still can’t get myself to do that. The week of the conference is going to
be busy, busy, busy, and I don’t want to complicate it with guilt.
Regardless, I will still be posting and visiting
many of your blogs during the weeks that I’m not separated from my computer. I’m
looking forward to reading as many A-Z posts as I can, and I wish you all luck
in getting through the coming month with success.
Happy writing!
Hopefully the conference is grand, there is always next year for the a to z
ReplyDeleteI hope so!
DeleteThe conference sounds like a fantastic opportunity. I'm looking for one to attend as well! I haven't yet joined the A to Z blog hop, but I enjoy checking out everyone's post and living vicariously through other bloggers. LOL
ReplyDeleteThanks for checking out Violet Storm! (Giving you a virtual hug). :)
My pleasure on VS, and I'll be joining you in checking out other bloggers when I can. :-) We'll cheer for them.
DeleteHi Debi - thanks for letting us know - why do all the buses come at once? conferences, A-Z, extra work etc ... but as Anna says - enjoy the Conference ... and we no doubt will be doing the A-Z next year .. cheers Hilary
ReplyDeleteYes, I do hope to do it next year. Thanks for stopping by, Hilary.
DeleteI think the conference sounds more fun. I did A-Z twice and it's a lot of work. Even if, like you say, you preschedule your posts to publish, visiting/commenting takes forever. I've come to kind of dread the upswing in daily posts.
ReplyDeleteIt is a lot of work. I enjoyed it last year, but it did wear me out. I think when it was done I stayed off my computer for a full weekend. :-)
DeleteBummer on our end but I totally understand and you have a busy month but it sounds like a prosperous one. Enjoy the conference!
ReplyDeleteI'll still be around once a week or so. Just not the conference week. :-) I'll chat with you when I can.
DeleteWoot woot for conferences. I hope you have fun!
ReplyDeleteI'm sure it will be. If not, I'll make it fun. :-)
DeleteHave fun at the conference! Not surprised at all that you can't participate in A-to-Z as a result. That challenge already seems time-consuming enough on its own!
ReplyDeleteIt is, and this is one that gives homework to do to keep the evenings busy.
DeleteI will be cheering from the sidelines, too.
ReplyDeleteAt least we can be a good audience for our friends. :-)
DeleteHave a great April!
ReplyDeleteYou too. I'll be doing a lot of painting, too, so I already feel like I'm behind on my writing, but I am looking forward to swirling paints around a canvas. :-)
DeleteI'm skipping this year's A-Z, too - just too much other stuff going on, and I know I wouldn't be able to participate the way I'd want to. I still plan on doing some blog visiting off and on throughout the Challenge though. Enjoy the conference! :)
ReplyDeleteI missed a conference last year during the A to z, so it might turn out that I will be taking turns from year to year--conference, then A to Z, then conference... It seems so many are scheduled in April.
DeleteI don't blame you for not doing A to Z. It sounds like it would have been April overload. Have fun at the conference!!
ReplyDeleteApril was an overload, and then upon return, the ISP switched companies, so many emails, including alerts that you left a message on my blog, went into --not my junk folder--but their junk folder. I had many service problems over the last month, and now that it is working right, I'm getting a backlog of old messages. Yeesh! :-)
DeleteI'll miss you, and at the same time I am excited for you. The conference sounds like fun and a great opportunity. And more work. :) Enjoy. Will be checking in on you throughout April anyway.
ReplyDeleteBoth conferences were great. Thanks!
DeleteI understand but will miss your posts for the A to Z. The conference is a great opportunity for you so naturally you should go. The A to Z is a lot of work, but I always enjoy it.
ReplyDeleteHave fun!
Sunni
The conferences were exhausting but good. I'm glad I went. :-)
